Sen. Huizenga announces February office hours

LANSING, Mich. — Sen. Mark Huizenga has announced that he will conduct in-district office hours to meet with the public on three dates in February.

“I am committed to doing my best to represent everyone in Kent County, and an important part of meeting that goal is hearing directly from the people about the issues they are facing,” said Huizenga, R-Walker. “I plan on holding these in-person office hours throughout the district on a regular basis. They give local residents a chance to express their viewpoints about what needs to be done and offer help to people dealing with a variety of state issues.”

Huizenga will be available to meet with constituents at the following times and locations:

Friday, Feb. 4 from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at New Beginnings, 4735 Lake Michigan Drive NW in Grand Rapids.

Friday, Feb. 11 from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at Herman’s Boy, 220 Northland Drive NE in Rockford.

Saturday, Feb. 26 from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at Tim Hortons, 3773 Plainfield Ave. NE in Plainfield.

Office hours are open to residents to express their opinions or concerns about state government or to request assistance with a state issue. No appointment is necessary.

Space is limited at some locations, and people are encouraged to take proper safety precautions.

Residents who are unable to attend the office hours may contact Huizenga’s office toll-free at 1-855-347-8028 or via email at [email protected].

Huizenga represents the 28th Senate District, which includes the cities of Cedar Springs, Grandville, Rockford, Walker and Wyoming and the townships of Algoma, Alpine, Byron, Cannon, Courtland, Grattan, Nelson, Oakfield, Plainfield, Solon, Sparta, Spencer, Tyrone and Vergennes.
