Sen. Mark Huizenga, R-Walker, announced Ryan Knight as his new chief
of staff on Tuesday. Knight was born and raised in the 30th Senate
District and is a graduate of Northern Michigan University with a
degree in political science and public administration. Prior to
joining Huizenga's office, Knight worked as a public policy field
director for the Michigan Realtors, where he served as a liaison for
local realtor associations throughout the state. He also previously
served as campaign manager and policy advisor for current state Rep.

Eric Winstrom to the state Capitol on Wednesday night as his guest
for Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's 2024 State of the State address.
Winstrom was named as the 15th chief of police for the Grand Rapids
Police Department in 2022 after serving in the Chicago Police
Department for over 20 years in various patrol, tactical,

resolution to recognize September 2023 as Cholesterol Education
Month and Sept. 1, 2023, as Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL)
Cholesterol Awareness Day. It also urges health care providers to
follow the guidelines when treating all cardiovascular disease
patients and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services to
update the state's cardiovascular plan to improve health outcomes

the Michigan Capitol on Wednesday night as his guest for Gov.
Gretchen Whitmer's 2023 State of the State address. Chang is CEO and
founder of BAMF Health, which is headquartered in the Doug Meijer
Medical Innovation Building on Grand Rapids' Medical Mile and last
year opened Michigan's first full-body PET-CT scanner – one of only
a handful nationwide.

the 30th District for a full term during a ceremony at the state
Capitol. Michigan Supreme Court Chief Justice Elizabeth T. Clement
administered the oath of office. Huizenga was joined on the Senate
floor for the ceremony by his wife, Kris, daughter and son-in-law
Olivia and Tim Osipsov, daughter and son-in-law Elaina Huizenga-
Chase and Ben Chase, mother Joyce Huizenga, and mother-in-law and
