LANSING, Mich. — Sen. Mark Huizenga is inviting local residents to a public town hall meeting in Cascade Township on Thursday.
“One of the most important parts of being an effective senator is listening to the people you represent about the issues affecting our region and state and discussing possible solutions to the problems facing families in our community,” said Huizenga, R-Walker. “I am hosting this town hall meeting to provide a forum to talk with West Michigan families and job providers about their goals and concerns and what we need to do to improve our state.”
The town hall meeting will be held on Thursday, Oct. 26, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Wisner Center inside the Cascade branch of the Kent District Library, located at 2870 Jacksmith Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546.
“All viewpoints are welcome,” Huizenga said. “Anyone who is unable to attend the town hall is encouraged to contact my office to share their viewpoints on the future of our state.”
Huizenga represents the 30th Senate District, which includes the northern half of the city of Grand Rapids; the cities of Coopersville, Rockford and Walker; and the townships of Ada, Allendale, Alpine, Cascade, Grand Rapids, Plainfield, Polkton, Tallmadge, and Wright.
Residents may contact Huizenga’s office toll-free at 855-347-8030, via email at [email protected] or by U.S. mail at Sen. Mark Huizenga, P. O. Box 30036, Lansing, MI 48909.
