Huizenga hosting March 11 town hall meeting

LANSING, Mich. — Sen. Mark Huizenga is encouraging residents of Kent and Ottawa counties to attend a public town hall meeting in Cascade Township on Monday, March 11.

“Listening to the people about the issues facing their families and our state and discussing possible solutions is vital to being an effective public servant,” said Huizenga, R-Walker. “This Monday, I am hosting a town hall meeting to provide West Michigan families and job providers a forum to talk about their goals and concerns and what we need to do to improve our state.”

The March 11 town hall meeting will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Wisner Center inside the Cascade branch of the Kent District Library, located at 2870 Jacksmith Ave. SE in Grand Rapids.

“The town hall is open to everyone,” Huizenga said. “Anyone who is unable to attend the event is encouraged to contact my office to share their insights on Michigan’s future.”

Huizenga represents the 30th Senate District, which includes the northern half of the city of Grand Rapids; the cities of Coopersville, Rockford and Walker; and the townships of Ada, Allendale, Alpine, Cascade, Grand Rapids, Plainfield, Polkton, Tallmadge, and Wright.

Residents may contact Huizenga’s office toll-free at 855-347-8030, via email at [email protected] or by U.S. mail at Sen. Mark Huizenga, P. O. Box 30036, Lansing, MI 48909.
